I had the privilege of editing this delightful pattern, which is live today! The Ankle Biters Socks is a free, completely customizable pattern that allows you to enter the measurements of your foot and gauge into a spreadsheet, which then gives you the numbers needed for each stage of the accompanying write up in order to create perfectly fitting ankle socks that stay on. The picture is of my own version - I absolutely love ankle socks, but am not a huge fan of having to tug them up. This pair is great, and really does stay in place without any adjusting. You can see one of the beautiful details of this pattern - the unique gussets that sit directly under the heel.
[Image description: A photograph of a pair of feet, wearing ankle socks that are striped with cream and bright orange, with the orange predominating towards the toe, while the cream stripes get larger towards the the heel. The feet are resting on one side, leaving the bottoms visible, and showing off the unique gusset which appears directly under the heel. A strip of white skin is visible above the very low cuff, as are the pant legs of a pair of blue jeans. The feet are resting on a wooden laminate floor, with wooden slats visible in the background.]
On to the details. This pattern is available on both Ravelry and Payhip, and was designed by the lovely Lily PK of Ladybug Laboratory Designs, who can be found on Instagram as @ladybug.lily and via email at ladybuglaboratory@gmail.com.
[Image description: A close up photograph of a person's feet and ankles, wearing khaki coloured pants and ankle socks that are striped with bright orange and cream. The person is standing up on their tip toes, and is facing away from the camera at a diagonal. Just behind the feet is a potted succulent plant, with leaves cascading down onto the floor, which is a medium brown wooden laminate.]
